Bury Park is the heart of South Asian Luton. Just west of the town centre, its main artery, Dunstable Road, is lined with fabric and bridalwear shops, jewellers, grocers, butchers, sweet shops and restaurants, and side streets of terraced houses where Pakistani and Kashmiri families, many with roots in Mirpur, have settled since the 1960s and 1970s, alongside a Bangladeshi community.
