Terms of Service

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. One account per person. You are responsible for everything done through your account, so keep your sign-in details to yourself.

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give us permission to host, display and distribute it inside Namaste Community so the feature you posted it to can work — showing your listing in the directory, your question in Ask, your item in the marketplace. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we are required to keep by law.

You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it. Do not post anything you do not own or have permission to share.

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour on Namaste Community. Specifically, do not post:

• harassment, bullying, threats, or content attacking people for who they are;
• hate speech, or content promoting violence or self-harm;
• sexual content, nudity, or anything involving minors inappropriately;
• illegal goods or services, scams, pyramid schemes, or fraudulent listings;
• spam, repetitive posting, or content whose purpose is to advertise elsewhere;
• other people’s private information, including contact details, without their consent;
• impersonation of another person, business, or of Namaste Community itself.

Posting anonymously under a pseudonym does not change any of this. Pseudonyms are tied to your account internally so we can enforce these rules.

Every post, listing, item, event and message has a report control, and you can block any member from contacting you or appearing to you. We review reports and act on objectionable content and the accounts responsible within 24 hours — by removing the content, suspending the account, or both.

Most new content is also reviewed before it becomes visible. We may remove anything that breaks these terms, with or without a report, and we may suspend or close an account that repeatedly does.

To report something outside the app, email hello@namaste.community.

Namaste Community is a place to find each other, not a party to what you agree between yourselves. We do not verify listings, items, prices, or the people behind them, we do not handle payments, and we are not responsible for any transaction, meeting, or arrangement that starts here. Use the same judgement you would anywhere else: meet in public, check what you are buying, and do not send money to someone you cannot verify.

Business listings in the directory are submitted by their owners. A listing is not an endorsement.

You can delete your account at any time from the app (My Account → Delete account). Deleting it removes your profile and personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why when we do.

Namaste Community is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and accurate, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law where you live.

We may update these terms as the app evolves. We’ll change the “Last updated” date above, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app. Continuing to use Namaste Community after a change means you accept the updated terms.
