Indian community events in Belgium

Belgium’s Indian community is small enough that most events are open to everyone and big enough that every festival has one. Brussels carries the largest calendar β€” Diwali on the Atomium esplanade, Garba nights in the communes, Bollywood and classical dance workshops in Ixelles β€” with the EU quarter’s professionals and families behind it. Antwerp has the oldest roots: the Jain diamond-trading families whose temple stands in Wilrijk, and a Sikh community with gurdwaras in the province. Leuven and Ghent run on students and university staff, which is why the Ganesh festival, Navratri garba and a cricket league turn up there every year. Most listings below are free or under €15, in English, and open to non-Indians β€” bring friends.
