Canberra’s Hindu temples — the Hindu Temple and Cultural Centre in Florey, Sri Vishnu Shiva Mandir in Mawson and ISKCON Canberra in Hughes — had published no Diwali programme for Sunday 8 November that we could find by 30 October; the Canberra India Council’s site marked its upcoming events as coming soon, showing only its Diwali dinner galas of 2023 and 2024, and Eventbrite lists no Diwali event in the city. The Florey temple’s latest notices on 23 October were its Navaratri Mahotsava (11 to 20 October) and a Vijay Dashami and Dussehra celebration on 21 October.
