The National Council of Indian Culture’s annual nine-day fair on its own site off the Uriah Butler Highway, which the council has run since 1986. Its president says about 320,000 people came in 2025 and at least 400,000 are expected this year; the 2026 theme is “Viveka: Discerning Truth in the Age of AI”. The council puts the cost at close to TT$5 million and, with bmobile out as a sponsor, says the Nagar goes ahead as planned; it received a $500,000 government subvention last year and hopes for the same. There were no fireworks in 2025, and whether they return had not been stated.

Chaguanas is where Trinidad keeps Divali in public: the NCIC’s Divali Nagar fills its Endeavour site from Friday 30 October to Saturday 7 November 2026, closing the evening before Divali itself on Sunday 8 November. The Nagar is not the only lighting in the borough — in 2025 about three kilometres of roadway in Felicity were strung with bulbs, paid for by the private sector and left on for another week — but no 2026 programme for Felicity or for the borough’s proposed five-night Divali Village had been found by 30 October, nor, on 23 October, any event in Port of Spain or San Fernando.
